Not to be picky, but is it just me or does that hood not exactly line up with the fenders and stuff? I really like it and would probably buy one anyway, but it just doesnt look quite right sitting there. Maybe thats cause that car looks as if its just "sitting" together...I dont know. I want to emphasise the fact that Im not being mean, cause the hood looks GREAT, Im just curious .

With no latching mechanism (and the little rubber stops on the fenders), its going to droop down in the back like that. Take your latch off if you get bored and see

Holy ****...lol, you really want 4? I was thinking about 2 myself as well, but without being able to afford one for one of my cars, I cant see myself affording two for two of my cars .

might sound like a dumb question but how many pounds do you save by putting on a CF hood on 1st gen? what does a stock 1st gen hood weight? is it worth putting a CF hood??

with cf over fibreglass you're not saving a pile of weight, as the hood is thiiin metal... but you gotta admit a cf hood looks neat.

Hey guys,
I am in Cali right now, it is Sat. night.....Seven stock is over......IT WAS AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!

Going to RB in the morning for open house!!!

As for the hood, someone told me 32 lbs. on the stock hood, these weigh in the 13lb range.

The pic is with the fenders "setting" on the car and the hood "setting on the car....no, nothing is lined up.

I am looking to sell the hood in the $350 range. Here at Seven Stock I have seen tons of carbon hoods on 3rd gens.......I have seen tons of crappy work! I cant believe people pay $800 for some of this stuff! I have also seen some nice stuff though.

Talk to you guys later in the week, I will be back on Tues.

I like everything about the hood minus the hood pin factor... Everything else is nice Only if you could have one that latched just like stock

Except Id paint it, i dont need everyone to know its carbon fiber LOL

Just got back from Maple Grove PA. I went with Ari at RX7.Com to help them out at a race......WHAT A TRIP!!!!

Anyway, I am picking up where I left of a month ago. I am going to adapt a hoop so that the factory latch will work.
