I was wondering, is their any way to convert an 82 GSL console to say...an 84-85 console? I like the later model design better than the 82 design that's in my car.

Probably more work than it's worth, huh?

I did it 10 years ago. I put an 85 interior, dash and all into an 81 GSL. The A/C is the hard part. When I did it, I just kept the 81 (3 Speed) A/C instead of the 85 (4 speed one).

I live in South Florida, so I just left the "real" A/C ***** behind the dash, permanently on the "vent" and "cold" settings. So all the other buttons were for looks only. At least the Ac would turn on/Off and Speeds 1-3 with the fan ****.

I think Magnus did it as well. If I were to do it today, I'd swap everything out, and just rewire the main dash connector. BTW, not all of the bolts line up either.

Nope... not kidding... BTW I live in Australia so that's AUS$60 (~US$30).. but still, US$5 (AUS$10) is damn cheap but it's probably not worth the effort to send it over here. Oh well.
