Which carb to use for blow-through turbo on a 13B?

Yeah, i've made a search before everyone flames me with the search thing, but i haven't been able to find a exact answer. If i have a GSL-SE engine, would it be good to turboed a 6 port 13B, or would it be more easier to use a TII engine? And if so, which carb to get, i already have a Dellorto DHLA48 on my stockport gsl-se engine...

As far as i know, i need :

a carb hat
aftermarket fuel pump
possibly TII tranny + custom driveshaft
TII engine
12A front cover with oil return line
Boost Gauge, EGT Gauge, Oil Temp gauge etc.

do i need to get a different radiator ?

anyways, i still have to learn about these nice setups, i went in the process of putting a fuel injected TII engine in my 83 GS last year, but i found it wasn't going to be cheap. I read a little bit on the blow-through and draw-through setups, and it is way less expensive than fuel injected..

I would appreciate any help, or comments, or suggestions.

Thanks

Max

thanks, but it doesn't really answer my question lol ... i will be using a 13B, not a 12A..

I currently have a dellorto dhla48, if i re-jet it, maybe it would be good for a TII 4 port engine and stock turbo ? The problem is, where will i find a carb hat for my carb?

If i'm not mistaken the dhla 48 is a clone of the weber 48, So a weber hat should work fine.

It answers it, only thing different is the 12a and the 13b. main question was what blow thru carb to use. they can all be rejeted to go back and forth between the engines. Carb hat my guess would be to use msn or google search and see what comes up. If you call at the right time and the full moon is overhead in the middle of the morning just before an eqlipse you might be able to get ahold of rotaryshack.com and get a carb hat.

It might be easier to get ahold of coldy13 (matt) and send him your carb and he can fabricate one for you. I think he has been looking for the chance to make a downdraft carb hat.

you can also try good old ebay

good luck

check out www.rotaryshack.com,rob has tons of blow through setups available.

I've seen most setups on the forums using a side draft weber or delortro carb for blow through.

I'll have pics of my setup soon. It's a sidedraft 48dco on a 12a, custom manifold and hat made by me. I'd probably be able to make you a hat for any carb, I think all sidedrafts have the same bolt pattern so you wouldn't even need to send me the carb then. If it's for an IDA or other downdraft you might have to send it so I can make sure it'll all fit fine. I know the sidedrafts work better though, something about the floats is better for boost. I've been selling nikki hats for $100+shipping. Weber hats are only a little harder, so it'll be $125+shipping for any weber hat.
