IMO, you really have to have optimum setups...exhaust, ported manifold, perfectly ported and tuned carb, to really notice much effect for a street driven car.
Now for a track car that is driven constantly within the same three thousand rpms all the time, you might notice the difference with less than optimal manifold or carb.
But then, there would be so many better ways to get more performance (...like an optimum manifold or carby!!!)
So for you, "No."
Save your broke *** some money, and slap that secondary vacuum box back on your carb till after Memorial day weekend when fuel prices are supposedly going to fall a little.
Good luck on your next job venture. It's almost always better than the last job.

thanks for the quick response, ill keep that in mind didnt think i could make much use of one... anyway about porting the manifold how do you port something that twists and turns inside ? or is it pretty large inside and just the outlets that need to be ported ? i feel like doing this for fun seen as i got a gasket and everything for the mainfold
