carb removal question

what’s the best way to keep debris outta the intake while the carb is off for a rebuild?

rag, paper towels, duct tape(or any tape for that matter), air cleaner cover, piece of cardboard.

If the cardboard is the glossy printed kind (like the "coke" case cardboard) and is cut larger than the flange, and held down with the carb nuts, it'd likely do just fine even with a little water spray getting on it.

That was part of the box that the new oil control rings came in, as I recall. Was just the right size
