Carb Rebuild Question
Carb Rebuild Question
I've been reading the forums and manuals available about rebuilding the carb on my 82. All my reading didn't prepare me for my "spare" parts. I have a leftover weight, similar to the ones used in the accelerator pump. It's about the same size as the larger of the 2 weights in the AP. Does anyone know where that goes, I found it on the floor as I started reassembling the carb. Guess it fell out as I was blowing out the ports. It has no ball that I could find, at least I'm hoping it doesn't.
(Seems I found the answer to this question by doing a search. Seems to go under part 93 in the carb manual. I'll check tonight when i get home.)
The second leftover parts are 2 strainers like those used on the fuel inlet bolts. These are smaller and 1 end is closed. I happened to blow these out of the holes and didn't properly document which ones.
I've looked through the carb manual, the service manual, and the parts manual, and find no reference to these parts nowhere. Any help would be very appreciated.

Those two small screen go on top of the float needle seats; the open ends go over the inlet end of the assembly.
Not documented anywhere I could find, either, but if you look at the photo of the needle seat assemblies on the MazdaTrix webpage, you'll see 'em. Both the carbs I have, had them in that position. Sometimes they stay stuck in the air horn when you take the needle seats out.
