Carb REbuild Pictures

I thought I'd share some pictures from the carb I rebuilt for a fellow member.

1)Here is a shot of the stand that I milled at work to hold the carb, it makes things easy to work on and simple to see.. this picture also shows the internals of the carb.

2) This shot is showing the cleaned sight glass with new seals and I went ahead and painted the trim with some high heat/oil resitant paint.

3) this is a shot of the jold jets removed and instaling the new one on the right side (it's teh shinny brass on the left)

4) this is the shot of the floats being measured and adjusted to OEM specs. I got these "perfect" by the book.

Anyways the rebuild went smoothly for the most part. I removed every JEt on this thing and made sure it flowed well, cleaned out the inside of the bowls (whiich were very sludgy) And test flowed it. This carb ought to run great.

Anyways thought I'd share a few.

cheers!

I used a GP Sorsen kit.. It is a decent kit. I wish it was a little more model sensitive as it comes with lots of extra seals. Almost enough to build two carbs... All in all I have had good luck with this kit..

Yea, I used a GP Sorensen on mine...after trying one from Victoria British first. I ended up scrapping the VB kit and went to Parts America (Advance Auto Parts) and ordered a GP Sorensen...much better.
