carb problem?

carb problem?
I have a 85 gslse with mukuni 44's, electric fan, header and when I get to about five thousand rpm its revs super slow. I'm have a carter fuel pump thats putting out 3.5 pounds. Is that enough?

i have a mikuni and the manual says 2.84 - 4.98 . check your leading ignition.
