Question carb help please

Can anyone help me find an IDA webber upgrade kit for a 1985 RX7?

I'm desperately seeking one for a friend, and he's had no luck so far.

Any info will help.

He's after increasing the BHP of the car, and is looking for the best mod for cash ration, if you get what I mean

Thanx people.

they don't make them anymore - you have to buy used... alternatively there's someone that makes a knockoff carb for around $1000US; I think you can buy those from mazda competition also

Thanx for the answer.

So, working on the principle that I can't get the IDA webber kit, what is my next best option to boost the performance?

IE. SU carbs to boost the power as I've seen in the classic car mags...?

Thanx in advance

DCOE webbers. $800 to $850 depending on motor.

If you have a 13b FI car it would behoove you to go aftermarket FI, It can be done for about the same amount with better driveability.

hmm, Cuz I'm asking all this for a friend, can any of you point me at a good online parts store which will ship to the UK?

I believe the RX7 to be an FS, without any engine mods, only body and interior at the moment.

The other items he's interested in finding are 48 IDF upgrade or the Alford Turbo. I take it this is gonna be impossible to find?

If he wants to up the carb any more, what other parts will he need to replace at the same time?

More help pls, and sorry for being such a newbie to all this!

It's spelled Weber, not webber
