Carb guys, is this normal?

Just finishing up restoration of this 79. Long story but this carb I bought from someone that was supposedly rebuilt.
Car starts but runs only on choke, bogs when I throttle up. Haven’t actually drove it yet, all this on idle, key on.
opinions?
See attached vid.

Nope, not normal. You sir have a stuck front float.

The first thing to try is lightly tapping the front/top of the carb with a small hammer or the handle of a screwdriver. Just tap lightly while the fuel pump is running and see if the fuel flow stops. It won't stop abruptly, but it should slow to a drip after not too long.

If that doesn't do it, you'll need to pull off the air horn (top section of the carb) and inspect the float/needle and seat to make sure there are no debris causing it to get hung up. I would also check the floats at that time to make sure the closing height is correct. The spec is 16mm from the end of the float to the air horn gasket (measured while inverted). Hopefully that's enough to get you started, although if not there are also numerous threads on the subject of unsticking floats.

Also, keep in mind that your front rotor will by now be quite flooded and you'll want to clear it out before trying to start it up again. I wouldn't bother doing that until you get the sticky float dealt with though.

Awesome thank you. Yeah didn’t look
right to me either.
I tapped on it before and it’d slow the flow.. started back next time I tried it.
Best take top off and take a look.

Also I noticed when I manually worked the throttle I didn’t see a squirt of gas.
Probably the accelerator pump right?

Most likely, yeah. Given the float issues there's a very small chance that the rear float is too low and isn't supplying fuel to the AP, but again, that's rather unlikely. It keeps pumping until fuel reaches just a little below the bottom of the sight glass.

While you have the top off I'd definitely take look at the AP and whatnot. Unfortunately it's a little tough to check that the ***** are in there without inverting the carb, but you could at least check for gunk in the passages without pulling the whole carb off. Or maybe you were just going to take it all off anyway, in which case that's irrelevant .

Got it started and idling smooth. I’m hoping running it a while with fresh gas, premix, and sea foam in gas tank will lube and clean stuff up.
Bogs some when I throttle up fast but I assume that’s a carb adjustment.
Thanks for the replies gentlemen!
