Here’s what I’m up against, PO apparently did the ‘mods’.
Choke cable just bows up, won’t activate lever at all. Choke lever moves by hand but not as freely as I think it should.
If no hope for this one, carb suggestions?
the cable can be somewhat straightened back out. just hold it tightly between thumb and index finger(or pliers) and bend slightly back in the opposite direction til it's straight enough for your liking. i've done this with other like cables. and that choke arm as i would call it doesn't look right. with the choke open, the hole where the cable attaches to should be pulled back to where the cable end is.
also, did i not reply to this same question in another thread requesting a pic or was that someone else?
You did.. sorry I should have used the previous thread.
Also I’m only getting 6v to the leading coil unless I unplug the yellow/green wire on the opposite side of the coil. I have an 85 distributor and coils coming soon so as to convert it to electronic ignition.
