Carb Gas Leak

Right near the oil lines on the drivers side of the carb there is a little diaphram that is leaking gas. I don't know if it's continual, but I just noticed it. I first noticed it when I was checking my hot start system (seeing if it was pulling when I started up). Well, I got to looking at it and I can make it drip a lot when I pull the hot start cable several times. Then after that I was looking at it and found it to be dropping all the time... I don't know if it will leak for the next 12 hours continuously or if I just "filled" the diaphram up and it's leaking just a bit for now until the diaphram is empty... do you guys know what I am talking about? Haynes manual comes next

It's north east of the idle adjustment screw about 2-3 inches... I can see 3 screws on it if I get down low. It's square in shape. Any ideas?

That would be the accelerator pump. If it's leaking then the diaphragm is ruptured. And BTW, there's actually four screws you'll need to remove to change it. You probably didn't see one because the linkage is in the way.

REVHEAD has the right diagnosis, place a magnet on the screwdriver when u remove the screws so they dont fall, diaphram comes with the carb kit, had the same drip on my 85......

I had one leaking after Rx7.com had just rebuilt the thing. I guess they are very prone. It takes only a few minutes to change it out. Watch out for the spring inside.
