carb?
Is it possible to put a 40 dellorto on a 13bt?Turbo is been taken off and want to put nitrous on engine.Engine is going to be n/a with a50-75 nos kit.Got a 48IDA but is to big!
Wonder if i put 40 sidie on with one extra injector per rotor (injector will be running of amicro fueler for extra fuel at high rpm )
so it doesn`t run lean.Will 40 sidie be big enough or must i rebore it out to 42-43mm?If it will work what size venturi`s and jetting
please any info or tips thanks!!

What size mains,air ,chokes etc do you suggest?Got 245 mains,180 air ,42 venturies,think tubes are f-11.Carb came off my old j-brigeport ,made 164wbhp.Got s5 13bt for cheap but with out computer.Still have turbo ect.But want to put nos on it.

Remember folks : Its not the size of the carb,but the size venturi that makes the difference.
It is easy to run a 50 hp shot of Nos reliably,if the correct measures are taken.
It depends allot on the type of porting you have, and weither your 12A or 13B and lastly what size of carb you have.If your running a 13B BP,there is no point in fitting a 48 IDA with 37mm venturies,you will be wasting your time.

I agree with you Karism on the carb size.But what if i put 36-37mm venturies in 40mm sidie,what`s the point of putting a 48 ida on with 37mm chokes you still making it smaller by venturies and buterfly`s is 48 in diameter????Is there a solution?I started motor today and revs clean from 2500rpm up.Low down its got a miss.Going to change 42mm chokes to 37mm see if it helps!Can not take it out on road to test yet,but soon.Made up my mind going to put a 50 shot on first and if it holds up then a 75 shot.Thanks for input so far

What jetting are you running Dieter? and at what level is your float level set,engine ported or not?How high above sea level do you stay in SA etc.
