I had this problem when I first bought my 7. Turns out the battery was garbage. Have yours load tested to see if it's the culprit. Good luck.

My GSL has a hard time starting hot, but it just takes a bit longer to get going, but it does start eventually, sometimes it takes up to 5 times of turning to get it to start but the carb is crap so that could be why. Are you sure it can't start while it's hot? Have you tried multiple times before pushing it?

Rotaries that have hot start issues either have a rich issue, flooding, or low compression...

Start by checking your timing. If that's good, then pull the cover off the air cleaner and see if you have fuel pooling up on the butterflies.

Don't know what your problem is then, since you said you rebuilt the carb. My carb is in horrible condition and i need to rectify that, so i don't know what you need to do, maybe your ignition coils or plugs and wires? If all those are new then i wouldn't know, i'm not a mechanic.
