car over heating

hi
latlet wheni get caught in traffic for very long my
car seems to start running HOT.
i have plenty of antifreeze in it , do you think it could be the thermostat? OR is this the nature of these cars.

It's the nature of these engines to die when overheated! The thermostat is a good bet... I'd replace that first, be sure to get one that's specifically designed for the car. Go to your local Mazda dealer for it. Good luck!

if it's overheating ONLY when you're stopped, then check the fan/fan clutch.

yeah its only overheating when i stop for like 5 to 10 minutes
