look at the fuseable links on the left side of the engine bay, and also the headlightswitch in side the car if that doesnt work then unplug the switch and look on the harness and the top two terminals is what the power goes through you can use a test light for this touch those to terminals at the same time and then the lights go down,--but first CHECK fuseable linkage then if no problems there move onto the switch--cause i dealt with this same problem, i had the problem in the switch and the linkage was lose so both had to be replaced

Yes, the fusable links on the left fender wall is normally the first place to check. If both the headlight switch and manual toggel switch don't work, odds are both are not bad at the same time. Try tapping on the squarish ruber covered relays clamped on the side of each headlight motor. Wiggle the conection to them and maybe un plug and check for corrosion. If none of that works, I've removed the relay, bent the cover tabs back and removed the cover. Inside are a set of contacts, like ign points that can corrode. Lightly hit the faces with emery paper and maybe contact cleaner being careful to not disturb the gaps too much. It easy to test at this point, no need to install the cover or remount, just plug them back in and try. Car collections can turn to Junk collections over time if they not exercised once in awhile.
