Unhappy Car got hit, so here's an offer, Parts Car!

Ok guys, I've got my 85 RX-7 GS. It got hit by a Buick a while ago, I'm debating now.

It has a Dowel Pin Leak, so it's leaking oil, it's been overheated once due to a Coolant Hose Bursting near the Oil Cooler. Engine's still good, still strong. Just leaks a little more oil than usual. It's got a new Radiator, and I've got an LSD Rear end, and a Stainless Steel Tail Pipe w/ Muffler. Gas Tank does not leak, and was recently Painted.

The Door won't close all the way. And the hinge is smashed in. Along with some of the Sheet metal down there.

This would make a perfect Parts Car, but a poor car to fix back up. So, if you guys got a chance. Would you buy this car off of me, and for how much? If you guys offer me enough, I'll keep it and let one of you have it, that way my car lives on some how.

I don't feel like fixing it, and the engine won't last me much longer than two years, and I need something that will last longer. I also lack the funds to put another engine in it.

It drives fine, so you could pick it up, and drive it to wherever.

I'll post pics of it later on.

Comon, I -know- that some of you are driving with a Leaky Gas Tank, or your Radiator's getting old... And I know that some of you at least are still running with the Stock Exaust System.

So comon, make me an offer don't be shy. I'm not asking for like 1000 Bucks here or anything. Just help a poor guy out. My loss is your gain. I want to see someone else make it out ahead because of this.

I'd like to see some pics of the radiator and possibly the gas tank (off the car)...

Will doors from 85's fit on 82's?

Well... They should, same Body Type, but the Driver's Side is screwed, that's where I got hit.

Radiator is Brand new, cost me 140 Bucks. I'm not dropping the Gas Tank though, sorry, I've done that too many times allready. But it has no leaks, never been Patched either, bought it off of a guy for 50 Bucks, sanded it down looking for any leaks or holes, none found. Then I painted it with Rustolium.

I assure you, though it's fine... But I don't know if the Gas tank would fit an 82...

It is a long drive, but it should make any drive just fine, I even have a replacement hose for the Oil Cooler we could replace before you take it on a long drive. That should assure that it does not burst while driving it.

Selling it all or nothing Peeps. Not going to part this car out. You want something, yer gonna have to come here and hand me a wad of cash and drive off with it.

The Center Counsel is cracked. The Window Switch and Joystick are not.

Make me an offer for the whole car... Just give me what you would think is a fair price and affordable.

Why is it I somehow doubt that... A clean SA that runs for $500. Nah I don't buy that one... Anyways an SA is lacking several things that an '85 GS has.... It may run fine, but I suspect that the SA has a dowel Pin leak, or some such thing.

Like I said, make an offer, I'll either say yae or nae.

Also the SA's Meter only goes up to 5 Numbers, so it could very well have 186xxx miles, or even 286xxx miles, depending on how many times it's gone over.

So the way to track the actual miles that were on an SA is somewhat iffy.

Ah, I'd sell it for 400, if someone will buy it for that. We've got a deal. But I'm still not sure... The Insurance people haven't said whether they want to try and repair or just total the thing.

If they total it, then I dunno, might drive it around for a while, this was my Daily Driver.

But 400 does deffinately sound fair to me, but I don't want to go any lower. PM or e-mail me if you want to set something up.

Ah heck, I'll even consider a trade really.

If you've got a decent running economy car, that can make an hour trip to work and an hour trip home.

That will -also- pass emmisions in Ohio. I'd be happy with that.
