Car feels stronger with vacuum solenoid unplugged? Can it be?

Car feels stronger with vacuum solenoid unplugged? Can it be?
Just plugged the vacuum solenoid back in after being off this whole time and the car feels slower. Is it just me?

Which vacuum solenoid? There are quite a number of them.
