car dies at idle
My RX-7 1980, wich i resently bought dies at idle. Maybe this question has been written a gazzillion times, but im in a hurry.
In most cases when the engine is cold and often warm, the engine dies when i release the gas pedal.
It works holding the manual choke out, but thats kinda irritating.

I don't recommend holding the choke because you'll burn very rich doing that and might also overheat.. I almost did that to my car when my lead ignitor quit and it wouldn't idle right.
The idle on my car fluctuates also and I find it worse when it's just barely warm. Where the choke would still be on if I had started from cold, but where on restart the choke won't stay on. I adjusted my idle to 1000 rpm instead of 700. So now when it drops 300 rpm it still runs fine at 700. Sorry I don't know the actual cause of the problem.

I read your email
I suggest doing a search and reading some of the threads in regards to the "shutter valve" and "anti-afterburn hose". After reading these threads maybe you'll see some comonality with your idle issues. Good luck!
