Car 98% done, need some finishing pieces and can't find them.

Interior is done, paint is done, but I still need a couple of parts to really call it "complete". It's an '85 GSLSE.

First and most important, is the side "RX7" emblems. I can get them at blackdragon and mazdatrix, but they are around $90 for the pair. Other than ebay junk, is there a cheaper source for new or like new emblems?

Next is various engine bay to hood seals. My cowl seal is OK, but I am missing at least 2 others, 1 behind the right side head light and 1 running down the right side. I think I am missing a hood bumper. I have 4 "buttons" at each corner, and 1 bumper 1/2 way down on the right side, but it is missing on the left. I'm not real sure what is supposed to be there, so if someone has pics they can put up of a complete stock engine bay(seals at least), that would be helpful.

Then there's one headlight link bushing, the big one I think. I broke it and would like to just buy the bushing. Have not found it singly listed.

Finally are the rear tail lights. They are not bad, but certainly not new looking like the rest of the car. I thought they would be Ok but now after it is all together they kind of stick out. However I can live with them vs. $250+ each for new ones...if you can find them.

I don't mind going to the dealer for any of this stuff, if they even offer it, but if anyone can help me out on various sources for this stuff, i would appreciate it.

I'll tell you something about those emblems....

Go ahead and buy a pair of those ebay "pieces of junk" spray them black, and then get in contact with "-xlr8planet-" You give him some money, he sends you these https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...4&postcount=47

I just got mine in the mail, they're outstanding. A lot cheaper than buying from mazdatrix or black dragon.

Headlight links are sold as complete units with the plastic bushings riveted in place. You can't buy the plastic bushings separately, but I think the links were only about $30-40 each, anyway. Bite the bullet and know they'll last 100k miles if you take the time to grease them every once in a long while.

The other parts and emblems are going to be Victoria British (Dragon?) or Mazdatrix parts if you want factory original looks.

Once you spend the money on originals, they will look 'right' and you'll long forget how much it cost you.

Good luck, and great job keeping another 'SE up and running.

I got the side emblems new from Mazda at $30 each, much cheaper than black dragon. I tried the paint and refinish thing, problem was the paint looked so good that only new would really do. If i was just buffing up an old FB, refinishing would look great.
