Capping Hoses after RB Exhaust and Air Pump Removal

Any clean / trick way to cap off the hoses after air pump removal. Need to cap:
- Hose that used to run from air cleaner box to air pump.
- Hose that used to run from air pump to air cleaner box. It’s on outside of filter so no need to cap?
- Hose that ran from OEM manifold shield to underside of air cleaner box. Don’t remember which side of filter it enters.

And should I make / buy a heat shield to install under plastic tray below carb?

Thanks!

I made my own from 3/16 aluminum. It’s what I had in the shop.

i also made a heat shield with the hole for the preheater hose to the air cleaner. I made this out of SS. I need this since it’s cold here and I blocked off the intake coolant passages. It took forever to warm up in the winter, this actually helps quite a bit.

This might seem trivial, but you do want to cap them so the air pulls from the horn where it's cooler. You can use rubber caps if you can find them that big. The heat riser would be the only exception. I'd make something out of metal.

Done! Was wondering what the triangular plate included with the manifold was… took me a while to realize it was a block off for the air pipe to the cats. Found caps for the in and out pipes between air pump and air cleaner box at OReilly and reinstalled the pipe from air cleaner to where the manifold heat shield used to be using the female air valve mount hole as a fixing point.

Double belt kit for alternator arrives tomorrow, then…. Test drive to see if I feel the extra horse power through my dynobutt.
