Unplug your battery cables, take off the horn cap, unscrew the nut, take off the steering wheel.

Easy as pie. Remember to mark where the steering wheel went on the shaft or you are forever doomed to drive with a cockeyed steering wheel. Until you fix it.

I still am. I can put my right hand on top of the steering wheel, but to keep it straight I have to lean it to about 11 oclock.

People look at me when they drive by, and I look like I am tryin to keep it real

Try and figure out how many degress offset it needs to be so you can take it off and move it center.

The trick is to grab the wheel at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions and wiggle it as you pull towards you.

Listen to the doc, I bent my steering wheel using a puller. After frustration, I tried the rock method - it works. You also run the risk of damaging the column if you get frustrated and tap/hit with a hammer.

Just grab and pull, but be careful not to whack yourself in the jaw when it breaks lose.

another thing, LEAVE THE NUT ON!!!!!! if you take it all the way off, you will smack yourself in the face. take it off, and run it on about 3 or 4 threads, that way the steering wheel has something to stop it when it finally lets loose.

sometimes if you hit the steering wheel it will loosen it up.
one time on a parts car the wheel was stuck on so good i had to use a come along attatched to the rear bumper to rip the sucker off.

or you can recline the seat back, I had to do that to get easy leverage using the rocking method, came in handy when the wheel popped off.
