Keep in mind that a rotary will eat up most mufflers in a hurry due to extreme exhaust heat.

Glass or steal packed? A glass packed muffler will only last a year or two, but a SS packed one will last a lifetime. The 3 inch looks better I think.

I'd have gone with a Magnaflow, but as a rear muffler it'll probably last for a while.

I use Apexi WS II with Racing Beat pre-silencer. I like the deep sound.

Well I "had" a Magnaflow on my '84 GS..sounded great from behind..but real quiet from inside..I once had it on my Straight piped '94 Probe GT ..loud as hell.. so I figured it would sound pretty good on the RX...but the quiet"ness" of it kinda made my sad! LOL...so I put it back on my Probe...

I never had a problem with it on my 7..just got really hot..but didn't blow anything out!! Thank The Mazda God's!!!!

I also forgot to add, that my 7 is now striaght piped and ready for my headers to come in...
