I bet it could be done.....With some kind of ingenius way to get a radiator in there. Oh yeah and convert the engine bay to be a little wider.....say cutting and manipulating the frame. It could be done if you got the $$$ or the welding experience and equipment. MAJOR MAJOR Fabrication, but hell if you do get it done take lots and lots of photos and videos, cuz I gotta see this............

If you build your own custom V12 then the answer is yes. A possibly hybred could be built based on motor bike components on a custom drive shaft. Your budget would be some $300-400,000.
Taking a stock V12 such as the Jaguar motor, hood length would be insufficient. However a cut and shunt with two RX-7 bodies could work with some fibreglass panels. Custom build the transmission as on a RX-7 based dragster.
If you want to photoshop what it would look like, cut at the firewall and aft of the wheel well and stretch the middle a scale 2 feet. Looks real powerful.
In reality everything is possible with money. All you need to do is engineer a stretched hood car, the reverse of a stretched limo!

Most engines will fit "on" an fb, inside the engine bay however I have clearance issues with a SBC. I hear that BMW V-12's are pretty compact, come to remember I saw a McLaren F1 engine (BMW V-12) and I'd say it would fit.

love the braaaap
I can't remember where, but I remember seeing a pic of an I6 in a 7 before. I think it was out of a dodge or ford van from the 80's. Look in the past and there are lots of I6's so it could be any, but it actually fit in there pretty nice. The rad was pushed WAY forward, but I don't think they did any mods to the firewall. This engine was easily just as long as a V12.

Cool, well I was just wondering because man if peoples put V8 inside there then I would assume you can put a V-12 inside with a little modification. However, for handeling would suck like everyone say I guess due to the weight and power.
My future project would be with a J-Spec 12A Turbo hopefully. Keep it simple and fun at least for me. I know putting any other enjoy if I had the money won't be a 7 anymore. That is why I would stick with the rotory power instead.

When thinking of installing a stock v12, remember the problems with installing a 20B. A V12 would be even longer. Look at the hood length of a Jaguar/Daimler V12 engined car and visualize what an extended FB hood would look like.
Handling could be OK with an extended body which got the weight distribution right. With 1200hp it would be an interesting project car, if only my garage was longer.
Would it be an FB? Yes if that is what the vin plate said.
