Can Someone Help me Get the maximium HP out of my stock 12a.

I'm a newbie rx7 owner, I just purchased my car last month.
it's a 1980 RX7, and its been sitting for at least a year, 2 at max.
ONLY 50,000KM on the engine.

The previous owner put some after market parts
-New header from Racing Beat
-Holley High Performance Carburetor
-Holley High Performance intake System
-Cruise Control
- As well as a 4inch tip

I purchased brand new
16 inch ROH Drifting Tires, and rim.

I'm not to sure about the other specs of the car,
but I was wondering, how i could get the maximium HP without spending big money. Or how you recomend the best way to enhance my car.

Thanks, Ken.

Welcome to the forum Ken!

To answer your question, yes we can help you. In fact, we already have but you just don't know it. lol. What I mean is, this question has been answered a thousand time already, so all you have to do is pull up that information and begin your research.

On the main page of the 1st gen section, you will find a FAQ section and an Archive. Both of those areas contain tons of information about your car, how to maintain it, and how to make it go fast. Just start by browsing those sections, and then if you are still unclear about any part of it then feel free to ask more questions.

Also, the search button should be your best friend. All of us love our cars, and enjoy helping others out by answering questions and instruction. But if we spend all of our time answering the same questions over and over, then we won't have the time to figure out any new stuff. Know what I mean? So anyway, like I said earlier, we've already done our part so all you need to do now is a little (actually, as much as you like) homework.

Keep us posted and let us know if you have any questions that you aren't able to find the answers to in the Faq/Archive/Search. Got any pictures of your ride? We tend to go apeshit over stuff like that!

Kentetsu gave you all the main info you need. Before any power mods or anything, make sure your car is running great and everything is good, brakes, suspension, engie, steering componets. Make sure all these are in great condition before you go crazy in the mods. God bless. Welcome to the forum
