can I run 185/60/13s tires on a 13x8 wheel?

can I run 185/60/13s tires on a 13x8 wheel?
I currently have 13x8 wheels, american racing libre looking wheels. I measured them last night. I have 215/50/13 right now...I plan to run some toyo proxes ra1 but I can only get 185/60/13s size.
will these tires (ra1) be too thin or small for such a wheel width? I read that the difference in width should only be + or - .5 inch.
BTW I still didn't get the official results but ended up 6th or 7th this time around, out of 14 in the class. Race was fierce and I was hit by the winning car making me spin out...I managed to finish but not too happy.
