I was wondering if i could bolt on a front bumper off of a 81-85 onto my 1980 rx7? I can get a pretty nice front lip from my friend but it wont fit on the older bumpers. Anyone do this before?

 

Yes...but your fenders from the '80 won't blend with the bumper..I believe I yanked the support struts from the donor car. It's been a while since I did it and the car is gone now. If I remember right, the support struts bolt right onto the '80 frame with no problems. Take a look in this link to see some photos of the dearly departed...you'll see the mismatch that results...

Yelp I had a complete 85 front end on my 80. You will have to change the fenders and the valence. The back bumper I dunno about, but Id say it wouldnt be hard.

 

I really should have kept the fenders and bumpers from the '80. Oh well...
