to any one , this is my first time working on a rx7 i mean to make it fast, my question is : i want to go turbo on my 1st gen RX7 and i don't if i should go fo a third gen engine w/transmission or just work with the 12A i have in mine i just need ideas.... i want to finish this project just to show i friend that i can kick his *** " he has a turbo charge civic and he think that's the fastes **** around...... by the way i want to keep the body of the RX7 as original as i can. please i will thank you for any idea... you will hear from me again soon....thank you.

Your stockport 12A with minor exhaust upgrades, upgrade carb and filter change, headers, should spank and Mildly boosted civic! Just run him stock... No turbo needed to take him on. Turbos are to chase down vipers/supras/ corvettes. Not civics.

 

drop in a turbo II engine and the civic wont know what hit em!

 

Since you only need one race to prove your point, I suggest eBay. Get a NOS nitrous kit with the 100 HP pills and you should have him easily...then sell it and what's left of the engine if you didn't upgrade to a Mallory Comp110 fuel pump to get the parts for the TII 13B...and look at the stickies above, the answer is also there....
