cai on 1st gen

What is the best location for a cold air intake on a 1st gen?
I'm considering cutting a hole in the cowling and running ducting, putting a cai on, cutting a vent in the hood or popping the hood up about an inch.

I have often thought about pulling air from that big useless space where the windshield wiper motor and arms are mounted.

That is actually a good plan. The area in front of the windshield is a "high pressure" area, and is fairly protected from the under hood heat.
I have considered the same, but then I would not be able to use the beautiful rotor design air cleaner cover I got from you............

I put my cruise controll under that pannel the wipers come out of, why dont you move your collant overflow tank and get cold air from in front of the radiator?
