ON A/C Installation

I have an '85 SE without air conditioning. I love this car (4th G1 RX7 I've had) so, to make it more livable I intend to install air conditioning over the winter. I have worked and repaired many a/c units in the past so I am quite familiar with the workings and parts, etc.

Apparently the dealers installed the systems when new, at least in Canada, I understand. There most likely was an installation service procedure for the dealerships. Anyone have one?

I figure installing the evaporator core will be the most difficult. Anyone have pictures of their install or even removal procedure would be helpful.

I have a source for the evaporator and condenser but will need to source other parts like hoses, dryer and compressor, etc. Any other info would be appreciated as well.

evap core is not really a big deal ... easier then your probably figuring

I'd recommened harversting a complete system from another car ... at worse you'll have the hose ends and can repair the hoses and if the compressor is not good you'll have a core ... I have seen two different styles so a complete set may save some time running aorund town.

Install time if you have everything ... an afternoon
