A/C in an FB

So the "A/C" dosent work in my 82 FB. my uncle and i were looking thru the engine compartment, and couldnt find anything resembling a "compressor"..
am i just being completely blind? i have a feeling the previous owner may have removed it, but i cant even find evidence that would sustain that...

Any ideas/suggestons would be much appreciated!

If you had one it would be on the driver side of the engine, alot of them didnt come with it. Do you have the under dash components?

drivers side towards the bottom front of the engine. you should see it in front of the steering gear box. it should have two big hoses coming off of it.... and two belts if i am not mistaken.

All the 84/85 had the AC button, even if they didn't have AC. Probably the same for the 81/83.

i guess the big question is, are any of the other components there? ac condenser? evap box?

also - i may be wrong here, but if it's been removed there should be 4 studs sticking out of the engine where the AC compressor should be.

Studs have been in every motor I've taken apart. None of them ever had AC.
