a/c ?

a/c ?

which is the low and high sides on the compressor? The one near the drivers fender is blocked by an a/c hose. I need to charge this system up. thanks

The low pressure side (on my SE) is the one closest to the fender. It has a hose coming along the firewall to the compressor and you can trace the high-pressure line which goes to the front of the car.

I'm unsure if your 82 compressor is the same (different part # for SE), but where the lines go will help you determine hi an low sides. Better yet, if you get a gauge set, you will know quickly which side is which.

Oh, come on, you live in the cold zone, no need to use your A/C.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that firewall side is high pressur. . . . don't hold me to that though.

the thicker line is the low pressure and the thinner line is the high pressure side

That'll make it easy for you..

if you look closely, the compressor is stamped with a "D" and "S" at each of the lines for suction and discharge. suction is the low side. or just do the thick line thin line thing, that works too
