Wow, I didn't know that people had such strong negative feelings for myself and Blair. Or perhaps you don't actually mean "moderators" but instead mean "administrators".

Actually, it's true. Blair and I can't be here 24/7. But for the pay we get (which is nothing), I think we do a pretty darn decent job. We are also quite tolerant, for example, I don't believe either of us were involved in deleting any threads pertaining to this whole sticker fowl-up (which, btw Manntis, I'm sorry you had to go through). We've even left threads like this open in the 1gen section when technically we should move them, simply because so many members here were involved that we wanted to make sure you were all able to "connect" about the issue.

I'm sorry you don't feel we're doing our job, but I must say I disagree with you.
ANYWAYS.... I dont really like to perticipate with a forum, with ****** as the moderators....
Well, this I've been called many times in the past, but never due to moderation. I'm sorry you feel that way, and again, I am a bit perplexed as to why you feel I or Blair are ****** ... then again, perhaps you weren't actually talking about us.

andrew doesn't speak for all of us. he's young and cocky, just let it to the wind. our only point was you should have been ryan's eyes when this started and that it wasn't fully our neglegence. no harm and i am actually glad that you don't mess with our threads much. i thank you for that. you guys need to stop dwelling on one and look at the whole. i believe the rest would agree with me. the error was in the mods not telling us not to or relaying to ryan and it was our fault not to ask ryan. i guess stickers aren't something you would think was a big arguing point. anyway, that's my 3.5 cents and i'm sticking to it.

No hard feelings here, and I think the term that needs to be address is 'admin' not 'moderators'

Yeah, Andrew's testosterone level is quite high. He's a young pup, yet! But I do think he meant "administrators" instead of "moderators".
I wrote to Ryan that I think you dropped the ball on this one by failing to catch the clearly titled threads in time to bring them to his attention prior to Manntis blowing bilss. I'm not going to act like I did'nt just because you're reading this.

However, I am very happy that we do have such easy going moderators in this section.

I'm so glad this is close to resolved.
And I'm thrilled to see Manntis' avatar in the threads once again!

Ok wait...On a serious note...Can I make a windshield banner or anything else FOR MY OWN USE as long as I dont sell it "for profit"? I mean, that would just be me chosing to advertise a brand/company that I like right? Or would I get dicked for that too?

Damn, I leave for a couple of days and look what I miss out on!

Glad to see Manntis is sticking around (or it appears so) after all, even though I do counterpost with him sometimes, hehe

I also wanted to publicly praise Manntis for having the initiative to start the "sticker" project in the first place.

There was a problem, and with the help of the peanut gallery, it got resolved pretty satisfactorily.
Kudos to us, and kudos to BOOSTED 7 for trying again to reach Manntis with kinder words.
Case closed; Thread closed.

BUT...As I PMed Manntis, I hope this thing does'nt stop other guys like Manntis from trying to make and offer other things for us to all enjoy. He may have gone thru hell on this, but perhaps the administration will be more in tune and receptive to future ideas, so keep em' coming, guys!

I'm very excited about the proposed-supposed "Rx-7 Club" ****-4-Sale" page that BOOSTED 7 said there would eventually be dozens of items on.
Perhaps guys will be allowed to put kewl things they design on that page. I dunno.
Anyway, just please don't let this situation stop the gears in yer heads from turning out a good idea for products here.

We are, afterall, the smartest guys on this site!

To be honest, your best bet (for the official answer at least) would be to contact Boostd 7 or Jason and ask them. It's always been a grey area for the rest of us here.

Actually, that's the reason I really didn't worry too much about the original post about the stickers being for sale, because to the best of my knowledge, we were still following the 'as long as the person isn't trying to compete directly with one of our sponsers or trying to start a business/make a real profit off of the stuff, go ahead and let them post about it' rule (I know, that's a really long name for a rule, but what the heck). In retrospect however, I can see the copywrite issues (not that Manntis was trying to infringe, quite to the contrary it seems obvious that he was just trying to do a favor for other 7 owners -- which was another reason I didn't worry about the original post).

damn first ive ever heard of this, sorry to hear you guys got your panties in a bunch.

Cause thats what it is BULL SHIIIIT!!!! I dont give a **** if they " BAN " me.... Boo Hoo.... there no more forum ..... You know.. this isnt the ONLY forum for us... MAYBE we should have Manntis start up a forum on his site for FIRST GEN ONLY PEOPLE!!!! So we wont have idiot mods..... We would then have an intelligent, outgoing, HONEST, polite, moderator.... Who actually puts and effort fourth..... Who isnt all talk... Who could ellect another mod, if he couldnt always monitor/help the forum.... Like when Mike-P-28 wanted to be a moderator... I would think that you people would let him be one, for the sole fact that you people dont usually chime in/help/be here as much as him... he wanted to be a mod....
now i dont know what to say to you about that... if i was a real ***** over moderatoration bastard i could get you in trouble for that but what do i really care? there are rules that you agreed to to be on this website. i can agree with ryan and jason on a few situations with members trying to sell things and make a big profit using this site as a advertisement. they do pay alot of money to keep this site up and buy new servers every 3 months cause they get over loaded, i dont see that many people offering money to help out.

Which means you're the overseer of this Forum, but haven't looked at it for over a week. That's just sad. Earlier intervention by you might have prevented all this angst. Still, why are you trying to stir it up again with such spiteful words? Or is that humor? Please post a clarification, but perhaps with less passion this time around...

sort of like BoostD's anti-Canadian "humour" in the lounge, I suppose.

yea, but at least he tried to say it was humor, even though you can tell he has hard feelings toward all the Canucks when you read his other attempts at "Canadian hate/humor"...

yeah maybe it is just sad you know that means i have a job were i work 40+ hours a week and i work on my car and i hang out with my friends cause its summer and its nice out. just cause i dont post 50 times a day or have an extra 8 hours a day to sit on the forum and read a bunch of crap like this...
yeah i moderate this section of the forum, normally there isnt a whole bunch of stuff that goes on in here. not too many flame wars or the infamous double post!! most of the time i am on here i try and soak up the worthwhile knowledge and if theres a question that i know or i can help out i post.

and yes if you were wondering i was trying to be humorous

ps what whould have i done with a beef with ryan and manntis?? its not my deal

and last but not least my trademark smiliey face

I work 40, too, but I guess my advantage, if you want to call it that, is that I do IT stuff at SBC so I'm basically stuck in front of a PC all day. They don't care about Web surfing as long as it's not porno and you hit the numbers. I keep a screen up all day that alternates between an official SBC newsletter, eBay, Autotrader, PontiacPerformance1, Outlaw Pontiac BBS, Weather.com and, of course, this beloved Forum. And I'm not being sarcastic. This Forum, in layout, features and depth of member knowledge smokes anything I've seen so far. Sorry if I got the fur rising, rx7passion, thanks for the quick response...now for my "trademark"...

Me, I pop in between bouts of screenwriting or designing some contraption. It's nice to have an organized assistant and let them deal with being the 'responsible' one
