Right after the header. Wow, thats probably illegal, has to be. After you did tahta you wouldn't have any hearing. I would go with the borla pro xs. I heard of some forum members having it and love it. You know its going to need welding though right? It sounds like you think it's going to be a direct bolt on. Why do you you need there to be no exhaust, Are you going all out racing?

What size exhaust pipe do you plan on running and what are your engine/intake upgrades, current and future? The center in/out in, either 2-1/4 or 2-1/2" should be good, unless you get carried away and go with a bp or turbo. I went 3" on mine, but that was planning ahead for the TII swap.

I plan on using it as a presilencer.
I have
12a RR racing beat header
MSD ignition
winter plans incude rebuild and port out engine + holly 600.. port will be bridge and exhaust will be ported slightly.

I want to go header - collector - presilencer - rear muffler(stocker)

as for the pipe size I want to do 3" after the Y collector that will lead into the presilencer and then out he back. Going to use a reducer to reconnect to the rear section of the stock muffler.

Why not just get an actual pre-silencer instead of strapping a full out muffler on there? 2 mufflers will probably have a negative effect on flow, where a presilencer is usually designed for high flow, at least in my experiences.

You'll be good with a 3" Borla if your going with a bp.

Every car in the US supposed to have a cat(catalytic converter that is, lol) right? I'm not sure so if i'm wrong, correct me. Atleast where i'm at you are. If you don't need a cat there to pass then I would just get the presilencer from RB also thats direct fit after the header. Just my opinion

I have a Road Race header from racing beat. I would have to spend extra buks. why because the collector is $75 buks then I have to get the flanges and the gaskets. For $75 buks I think i'll just get my self a high flowing muffler, like the one thats talked about in quiet exhaust possible . The thing is I really am not sure which part there talking about in that thread.
