Burning exhaust and Oil leak

The car at hand is a 1983 FB GS. Rat's nest is gone, Nikki carb is completely stripped, air pump is removed. When I got it the exhaust was cut off past the big stock cat. The cat itself clearly has a couple leaks in it from rust/rot.
(picture not my car)

So I'm having two issues:

1st, a couple months ago, I got rid of the rats nest and air pump. I know everyone says the cat needs to go also or it will melt/whatever without the air pump. Funds haven't allowed me to replace the exhaust, so I've lived with it. No problems until these last two drives I went on. When I finished both drives, I noticed that the car was emitting a black smoke from under the car. The smoke smelled like burning rubber. I jacked the car up and got under it and it the smoke was coming out of the various holes in the cat and the end of the exhaust pipe. Considering it smells like burning rubber and rubber is known to catch on fire, I am very worried. Feel like I should run open headers to see if the smoking still occurs, but haven't yet. What is causing this smoke???

2nd problem, I have an increasingly large oil leak. No oil leaks from my oil cooler, OMP, or top of the engine. It is coating the bottom of my oil pan and looks like its dripping onto the bar that sits under it as well as coating my crossmember. Circled where its wet on my oil pan (picture not my car). Is this probably just my oil pan gasket or is there somewhere else that could leak (more of is there some oil seal I could have blown that will ruin my engine?)

Really hoping you guys just say Im an idiot for asking and it is just the gasket. Thanks a bunch guys

Thats why, as you pointed out, every one says to get rid of the cat when you delete the air pump.

I would say the air pump missing is causing excessive HC in the cat.... clogs, burns and melts the internals. Loss of power, increased back pressure....you might have got a few drives in before it clogged but it will only get worse. Cut the cat out.

But why the smell of burning rubber? The power loss isn't what I'm worried about, but my car catching on fire and burning to the ground is
