burning coolant, but from where?

recently I started my car to a large cloud of white somke with that smell witch disapeared after about a block or two, I then noticed coolant coming from the bottom of the intake manifold, so I replaced the gasket last night, to night I just finished the same job but with different gasket material, from the looks of the one I took off today there was no leakage from the gasket, but the car was still burning coolant today, where else could the coolant be comming from? could this be just smoke from to much premix(I use 1oz/gal always to the drop), or because of the cooler weather (i'm in canada and its ******* cold already).
any way it is late and time to go to work is aproaching far to fast.
thanks for any help

is this a 12a or 13b? When you say you replaced the gasket under the manifold...if this is a 12a or a old 4port 13b there are two o-rings that chanel the water through the bottom intake manifold. If these are no longer round you "must" replace them. If this is a 13b motor then there is a rubber hose that goes from the water pump housing right beside the water temp sensor (green) that runs under the throttle body to the back part by the throttle cable links. Make sure this is not leaking anywhere. Hope this info. helps, post more info. if you need anymore assistance.

You say that you are "burning" coolant... How do you know? Is the coolant level dropping regularly...do you have problems keeping coolant in the engine. Do you smell coolant in the exhaust smoke?

If you start up the car with the radiator cap off (start from cold) can you see small bubbles in the coolant in the radiator? Is the car hard to start when cold? If you crank it without the bottom plugs in, does coolant spray out? What do the plugs look like when removed after sitting overnight?

How many miles are on the engine? Sometimes the smoke when cold is a symtom of bad oil seal o-rings.

yeh coolant sprays out the plugs actually pours out when the car has sat for a few days in a row, the eng is a 12a 1/2 bridge just started up the begining of this summer, only 10000 km on the rebuild, I dont know why it leaks but I'll guess that this is serious(let me know how serious? &will this ruin every thing for me if not taken care of immediatly? &what is the repair going to likley be?), is this an issue to disscuss with the builder, what can I do if anything?I am going to contact the builder right now I hope he will be reasonable about this.

Thanks for the replys.
