Bumpstop cutting? at what drop?
Bumpstop cutting? at what drop?
Well im lowered .5" in the front and a full 1" in the rear (to take out some of the rake) and im wondering at what in. drop are people cutting there bumpstops and how much? It feels like im possibly hitting the stops in the rear from time to time if a large bump comes along.
I didn't cut mine until it was obvious but that put my car at a big drop if I measure from top of wheel itself (195/55 r15 front and 195/60 15 rear) to fender arch its abot 4.25" and that's prob about as low as ill go. I only cut stops .5" all around

I removed the rears and cut the fronts to about a third of their original length, just enough to keep the damper from bottoming. The rear would hit the spring perch adjuster before the bumpstop anyway.

since i built mine like the competition book, i cut mine like they wanted. then i set the ride height by eyeballing the real car. then i measured the ride height, and i'm at the low end of the stock specs
