building speaker box

so i'm building a new speaker box for my car -

one much like this:



i'm about to this point:



so far it looks like it'll be nice. i'm going to drop a low-displacement 12" sub in it, and use the other half as an amp/tools area. the 3'x3' base fits perfectly in the hatch with only about a half-inch clearance on either side of it.

yup 3'x3' is about right for the base.
