Building a !2 a I have no end play?

I am assembling my 12A and when I check the end play there is none. Do they sell thrush washers in different thickness's? Without the counter weight thrush washer I have .038. When I install the washer zero play. So I need a thinner washer.

Thicker washer means more end play.

So why would I have zero play with a .060 washer and .038 end play without any washer?

Not sure why. Just going off what I've read here in post 82.
