I was trying to top out my 7 on a huge strip of empty road a couple of nights ago, and just when i hit 90, the speedo jumped to 120. Now ive always thought that my speedo was off, cause ill be cruising at 60 on the highway, and it seems like i just blow by everyone. so i couldve actually been going 120. I was at 6-7K RPM in 4th. so i dont know.

 

Suggestion get a new speedo!! If your going way over and you get stopped because you didn't realize it'll really **** you off. Especially if the tickets for more than you payed for your rex to start lol.

 

mine goes to 85. i wouldn't know if i hit 90 or 120 period. sorry i guess this didn't help at all. just my pity story.

 

i loved it when people asked how has have you gone in this thing... (81 "THE BEAST") 85MPH thats all the dam dash had on itso i shifted gears 2 more times after i hit the dash max i know @4k rpm in my l.e. i would be running about 81-82 mph in 5th and remeber the just try to make the speedo acurate @55 and below. @ 100 on my dash my GPS says NOPE 96.

 

I have the same model and year car, and at redline in 4th, the speedo shows slightly over 100 mph. Now due to my wheel size configuration the speedo and odometer show about 7% faster than it should, so it's probably 100 mph or a hair below.
