broken lug bolts

hey, I was taking the wheels off the rx today and the drivers rear was on really tight, I got three of them off wiht an impact wrech and for the last on the bolts separated by some sort of splines that stripped out the hold the hex part of the bolt on. The big problem is the bolt is still in place. and I still cant get the Tire off. How should I go bout removing this bolt? Or is there a way i can take the brake drum off or bleed the brakes with the tire on? My pedal goes all the way down to the floor and trys to lock up the back tires and i was going to change the fluid but is there soemthing else i should be doing?

how stripped are the splines on the lug? usually you can get the splines to catch. use some penatrant. that'll help. had the same problem. used a large breaker bar and leverage. the splines caught and the lug bolt broke free

Well the head wouldnt catch at all and it fell off. I used some wed-40 and was able to get the head off another bolt and i hammered it onto the on the car and sprayed wd-40 over everything i could and it came off. I am surprised the bolt it self wasnt stripped at all but the head was fully rounded

glad you got it off!!!! hopefully you don't have that problem again. i usually grease my bolts before i put them through the wheels and lock them down.
