Angry broken battery casing-can it be fixed?

I broke the plastic casing on my battery, heard that it can be fixed (battery still maintaining charge). Has anyone got it fixed-where and how much? Battery still under warranty with a replaced cost of $59.99.

Broke what casing? If its just the actual battery plastic (like what hold all the acid and stuff in) that you are tlaking about, you could try telling them that you looked under your hood and found it like that and you need a new one . On a safety note, if it is the actual casing thats broken, the fumes and vapors are very dangerous. They could ignite under there and then you would have a VERY big problem. Not to mention the acid in there that could start leaking out...Unless its a gell cell . One time my aunts voltage regulator went out and she didnt know it and she was in a McDonalds and the battery blew up while she was in there, and it blew the hood clean off . I suggest replacing the battery asap without using it anymore...

I knew someone whose used the clear silicone to seal a crack, but if it's spilt in half or something replace it. You might try silicone to repair a crack . Let me know if it works > peace Jalvord

I'd replace it before it either gets worse or the acid from the battery causes damage. Since it's not an expensive part, it's not worth the chance!
