Oddly enough, His thread seems to have gone *poof* ... so using the search function won't help you this time. Unless its buried somewhere pretty deep.

Anyways here's a link https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...+in+a+1st+dash
for a picture of what you're asking of.

i think they resemble third gen gauges close enough, and are red, so itll keep the same feel at night..

umm......

check to see if your sensor is going bad for your speedo. It's close to the tailshaft of the trans, drivers side.

Check your trailing ignitor. It may be on it's way out, and that is where the tach signal is picked up from.

Sensor? The speedo is mechanically driven by the tranny. The electrics are gear position identifiers for reverse lights and cruise control.

If one were to try and remake the dash, decide if you want to include all of the idiot lights. It may not be as simple as you think.

I once (back in my components-level-engineering days) drew up a set of schematics to do a digital dash for my 7, replacing the guages and lights with LED readouts.

Never actually built it, but it was a considerable exercize. Glad I didn't do it now; LED readouts were the worst part of the 80's mania, and thankfully died young.
