Bridgeport vs Streetport templates
For mazdatrix templates.
Is the primary port, not the eyebrow, on the bridgeport template the same size as the port on the streetport template?
If not is it bigger or smaller?
It will it work to use the bridgeport template to streetport a motor, right?

Are you saying main port on the two bp templates are different or between the bp and streetport templates?
These are the part #'s I'm comparing: 49-22202 and 49-22201
They look pretty much the same in the pics.

I believe that the "street port" extends into the area where the bridge is on the bridge port.
The idea is that the biggest "street port" you can make can extend halfway into the corner seal safely, but on the bridge port you want the bridge to more fully support the corner seal, since you're opening it up on the other side anyway.
I don't know about RacingBeat's template specifically, I haven't used them, but that seems to be the trend. SP = port as big as you can get it, BP = main port smaller, bridge to support corner, then port continues on other side.

Edit: They're pretty awesome guys over at RB, you can probably call and ask for confirmation.

Thanks for the replies.
I was curious if the bp template was like a 2 templates in 1 thing (bp and streetport), but i might just give mazdatrix shout to be sure though.
mikewoodkozar, I'll try the streetport first and when I get more parts, I'm always on the lookout, I'll build a bp motor since I'd like to know how they drive.

For what it is worth, I know that with the RB templates the street port is the same as the main port of the bridge port. The tech guys at RB said that the J-port has a bit smaller main port than the street port/bridge port main (not counting the eye lid). But the eye lid of the J-port is much bigger than the bridge ports eye lid.
