Bridgeport Reliability

I did a search but couldn't really find an answer to my question. (I suck at searching message boards)

Right now I am looking to pick up a clean GSL-SE or maybe an FC. There is a '85 GSL-SE around here that has had the motor bridgeported, as well as converted to carb (Holley 600cfm) I was just curious as to how reliable a set up like this really is. The guy selling it says the car is very reliable, but I am unsure. This car will probably be a daily driver, so I need some semblance of reliability. Thanks in advace for your help.
