bridgeport?

How long will a bridgeported motor last?
Ive heard anywhere from 10k to 50 k but need an answer for a freind who is thing of buying a bridgeported 13b.

There's really no way to tell. It all depends on hwo well it was built, in what condition the engine was in prior to being rebuilt. Also how well it was broken in way to many variables to give you a answer, i have heard of one even lasting up to 80K. was the bridge cut into the water jacket? That coudl shorten lifespan alot.

i dont know about the how it was ported but apparently they are new housings
hes just concerened that is will last about 3 years or so
so it would need to be able to go about 50k miles

You need to find out how it was built...

Also, I am always weary of bidding from people who cannot spell. If they didn't take the time to check his/her grammar then I doubt they take the time to carefully maintain their car...

Exactly. The car looks a little like a cob-job too. The upper radiator hose is almost kinked for starters. Two MSD boxes and not one is used for direct fire. tsk tsk.
