Brakes question

Where is the best place to get replacement calipers??

I just did my brakes and I am going to need rear calipers next time i do brakes.

Someone needs to show mazda a better way of making the self adjust mechanism on the rears. If you don't have the special tool to turn the caliper piston your are gonna have a real bad headache.. Got it done! after 6 hours and i also replaced the rear piston seal and dust cover.. But i cannot get find a new rear piston anywhere. And the factory manual reccomends piston replacement with every pad change on the rears.

ok so where can i find a rear caliper piston?
where is a good place to get rear calipers? don't really need them just the piston
and where can i get the tool to turn the piston back in??

help would be greatly appreciated

I just get rebuilt ones at the local parts store. May take a couple of days to get them in. They will want your old ones as core. Make sure you remove the bolt and hook for the e-brake cable from you old ones, I didn't and the new ones didn't come with them. Had to steal them off one my other cars.

Local parts store is a bit pricey... and they don't cary just the piston, but after doing a search i found a good place online that someone reccomended Rockauto.com. They seem to carry alot more parts then autozone or advanced and the price is way lower....

How about the piston tool anyone??

The piston tools are available at most autoparts stores (just a generic tool), but I usually just use a pair of needle nose pliers to crank them in (on my old Datsuns anyway). For cheap parts, check out www.rockauto.com
