selectmaz sells a kit that you can put 4 lug fc rotors and 4 piston fc calipers onto a fb. really its not a big deal on a 84-85... the bearings are the same size its a matter of making a bracket to mate the fc rotor and caliper together

BadAssRX-7, That link is a dead end ( no number or home page to go to for them,price,ect..,) Is this something that could be done with otu their kit? In other words could I just get some yard parts and do it? Also if a foru lug could be doen why not the five lug?

well what u would need to do #1 is a 84-85 front strut (spendal) swap so you can use the larger bearings... then when you have your rotors and calipers you will need to make a set of custom mounting brakets so you can mount the later style stuff on the fb... im sure it can be done and i might even try it but you better do dam good work or 1 hard brake and you might kiss your wankle good by. go look at there pics its rotors, calipers, brake lines, bolts pads and a mounting adapter the big metal thing with the large hole in the center and 4 bolt holes just out side that then offset are 2 "ears" that the caliper mountes to

In the last picture. That is the rear axle correct?

Why does it have two calipers? is that the standard setup on a 2nd?

Would it hurt anything to do just the front?

one last.

when changing to the 84-85 spindle (going from a 79) is the spindle all that is changed or is there more?

I am going to contact www.selectmaz.com.au and see if they just sell the bracket.

Thanks

the last pic is the fronts, notice the tube venting air to the brakes attached to the tension rod stock tII fronts have those crazy calipers

wouldnt hurt anything to do just the front, but youd probably have to get a brake proportioning valve and some really good pads in the rear at the very least

calipers? mounting bracket for the calipers? What all is needed to get it ready? And what about ditching those hawk pads in favor of Carbotech Bobcat pads for the street?

The pic of the kit shows the calipers and the mounting bracket for the calipers. So they should be included for that price. You would have to ask them about the pads.

Carl

Do you have Stuka's email address? He said to email him but I did not find an address.
