brake upgrade

I am considering upgrading the brakes on my SA and..... I want to keep the 4 X 110 bolt pattern.

I plan to install big bearing struts and using hubs and rotors drilled for 4 X 110 from kcraceware .com (link below).

http://www.kcraceware.com/suspension.htm.

Before I order the parts I need to know if the big bearing struts and brake upgrade everyone does changes the "offset" .

If it does then my much beloved and hard to find BBS 4 X 110s would be useless.

Could someone who has made the upgrade let me know?

The big bearing strut won't change the offset and it doesn't look like that kit would either, but I don't have any first hand experience with it. I haven't seen too many people on here use that kit, I'll be interested to see how it goes for you!

The guy on the phone tells me that the kit gives the same offset as the stock gsl-se, and from what I can find the gsl-se stock wheel is a higher offset (-45?) Is that correct? and the wheels I want to use are -20 so it looks like its not gonna work for me.

Oh yeah you're right, if it matches the SE offset then it would push your wheels out about an inch. The SE uses the same offset as the FC and I've got FC hubs/wheels on mine and they don't stick out past the fenders. You could always get some wheel spacers for the rear wheels (thats what I did) to match it match visually.

How close are your tires to the fenders as it sits now?

Maybe you can see in this pic.... I have rolled my fenders and have no clearance issues with these wheels, but do not have alot of room left....(in the front anyway).

I'll see if I can get a pic of mine at lunch today and post it, the wheels on mine stick out a bit more than yours (from what I can tell) and don't rub in the front. I need to roll the lip just a tad in the back, but it only rubs every now and then.

That's a really cool shot btw! Your car looks great!

Not sure if these pics help at all, and it's hard to tell from your pic, but I believe my wheels are out farther than yours, and do not rub in the front. I need roll the rear's slightly but it's nothing major for sure.

For anyone else that's reading this, I do not have the brake upgrade that Robert is asking about, I'm just showing these pics as reference so he can determine if his will work or not if moved out farther. I have a FC front subframe, with FC vert wheels (+40mm offset) and the SE length re-speed/moser axles out back, with a 20mm spacer to push the wheels out to match the front.

In case its hard to tell, the first pic is the front, the second is the rear.
