brake problems

brake problems

...recently, when i've been hitting the brakes, it till drop to the floor before they start gripping. i know it's not the pads either, i just had new pads, rotors, and a caliper installed.

anyone know what could be up? i can develop pressure by pumping the brakes a couple times, but that isn't very cool.

Try bleeding the brakes, it sounds like you have air in the line.

Whats not cool is running into the rear of someone, I hope too that its just air in the line, try bleeding starting from the right rear then left rear and right front and left front,,,hope is just air and not master going bad, but if it is , i encourage you to get another one,,,,i had my master go out, and beleive me, its not anything to play with,,,good luck,,,,,

When it comes to the brake system,use the process of elemanation, there's fluid in the master,,right ??,,any puddels
of fluid around any of the wheeles,,on the insides,could be the
master is going out,could be a wheel cyl.,could be air in the lines.
if any of those are ok,,,check the rubber brake lines,,i think thats
about it,,,donna's hip,,no fred flintstone brakes ,.,.,.

i checked and there's no fluid anywhere. i'm gonna assume it's air in the line. i'll take it back to the place i got the brakes done and have 'em bleed the system.

Air is thinner than fluid, sometimes you can get air in a line, and no fluid out of it

I had breaks go out on my 80, the vacuum booster was ok, but I had to rebuild the proporitioning (spelling sorry) valve. It was a piece of cake, couldnt beleive how easy it was.
